Welcome to Northwest Healthcare and Wellness.  The practice of Stephen L. Smith. I practice integrative medicine or holistic medicine, which combines traditional medicine techniques with alternative or complementary medical techniques to offer my patients a broad choice of options., Rather than focus on symptoms  alone, I use a functional medicine approach, which focuses on the causes of illness rather than just controlling the symptoms of disease with medications alone.   Some of the more holistic approaches I use include:
